Nonprofit of the Year

Unified Neighborhood Partners

Unified Neighborhood Partners (UNP) is a collective venture of four North Brooklyn not-for-profit organizations that came together in 2019 to develop four city-owned sites in the Broadway Triangle area of Brooklyn.

The organizations, Los Sures-Southside United HDFC, RiseBoro Community Partnership, St. Nicks Alliance and United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg collectively provide services to thousands of residents annually.

The groups decided to respond to an HPD competitive RFP and create a multi-phased development that reflects the diversity of a community, including significant numbers of Hasidic Jewish, Latino, and African American residents. Each member of UNP shared in the planning and program design, with each phase coordinated by a different lead member.

Throop Corners, a 140-unit multifamily building, is the first completed project leased up in 2025. The second project, Bartlett Crossing, closed in Fall 2025 and consists of two new buildings with 78 apartments. The final phase of 178 units, Broadway Commons, is in pre-development. Altogether, this development of over 395 apartments creates an inclusive and diverse community welcoming all residents.
